The crew that shows up at your gate in Fort Worth isn’t a rotating cast of subcontractors. It’s the same handful of people, week after week, working neighborhoods from Ridglea Hills to Fairmount to Saginaw. Most of us have been turning wrenches on gates for over a decade, and all of us train on the same nine brands families actually own around here: LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule. What unites us is simpler than a mission statement. We like gates that open when you press the button and close behind you without groaning. That’s the whole job.

Our People
Cody Beckman, Owner and Lead Technician
Cody started Latch and Post Gate Repair in 2009 after spending years watching gate companies treat a broken hinge like a chance to sell a whole new driveway system. He still runs service calls most weeks because, as he puts it, the day he stops seeing gates up close is the day he stops knowing what he’s talking about. His specialty is electric gate repair, particularly troubleshooting control boards and safety edges that other techs give up on. Outside the truck, he’s rebuilding a 1972 Ford F-100 in his garage, which means he understands exactly how a homeowner feels waiting on a part that’s been backordered for three weeks.
Marcus T., Senior Installer
Marcus has been hanging gates in Tarrant County for fourteen years, and he’s the one who handles new gate installation from survey to final swing test. He’s factory-trained on Viking and DoorKing operators and handles the power runs, post setting, and concrete work that make the difference between a gate that sags in year three and one that still closes square in year ten. Ask him about the time he found a gate post set in nothing but decorative river rock, and he’ll tell you the story while mixing proper footing concrete. He’s also the reason we carry extra levels on the truck: he checks plumb twice, minimum, and he’ll redo it himself if it’s off by half a degree.
Rosa M., Service Coordinator
Rosa is the voice you hear when you call (682) 841-5749 at 9 p.m. on a Sunday or 6:30 a.m. on a holiday. She’s been dispatching field techs for twelve years, the last five with Latch and Post, and she keeps a mental map of every Fort Worth neighborhood so she can tell you honestly when we’ll get there, not when we hope to. Rosa speaks fluent Spanish and handles scheduling for our Spanish-speaking customers across the city. Her desk has a small brass latch from the first gate we ever repaired in 2009, and no, she won’t let anyone polish it.
Devon R., Apprentice Technician
Devon came to us two years ago from a welding program at Tarrant County College and is working toward his full certification on FAAC and BFT hydraulic operators. He rides with Cody or Marcus on every call, which means you’ll often see two of us at your gate, not one, and you aren’t charged extra for it. His eye for detail borders on annoying to the rest of us and delightful to homeowners: he’s the one who photographs the cleanup before we leave and notices when a hinge has been over-greased into a dirt magnet. Before this, Devon built custom iron fences, so he knows what good steelwork looks like from the back side.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this page works to the same Cedarwell C.A.R.E. values, and those values are specific enough to hold people to. We clean up like it’s our own home, which means shoe covers and drop cloths before we step inside, and a photo of the clean-up before we leave. We ask before we move or touch anything on your property, even a potted plant in the way of a hinge. We respect your family’s time and quiet hours, and we can schedule around nap time if quiet matters, which it usually does. We explain the price before the work, in writing, every single visit. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise sits behind all of it: if a repair or installation isn’t right, Latch and Post makes it right, no argument and no fine print. That promise is what lets us sleep at night, and it’s the same standard in every city we serve.
